3 things to do in Clayton County before summer ends
It's almost back to school and you may be wondering where summer went. Well, the weather says summer's still here and here for a while. So, why don't you make the most of the days before sending the kids back to school with some outdoor fun.
Squish your toes in the sand, race down the water slides and enjoy the rays of summer sun at Clayton County International Park The Beach. Your kids will have a blast (and so will you) at this beach and water park.
Take to the shade under the towering pines at ReynoldsNature Preserve. There are three miles of trails in multiple loops so you can walk or run as much as you want. This is a great shady spot to visit in the morning before it gets too hot. Pack a picnic and grab a spot close to the 1867 barn.
Learn about the importance of wetlands habitats and catch sight of more than 130 bird species at the Newman Wetlands Center. See the educational exhibits inside the building and take a spin around the trail path. It's a wonderful way to learn about wetlands and see the effect they have at the same time.
