The Southern Belles & Whistles Tour highlights more than 100 years of history and heritage in the Official Home of Gone With the Wind and allows you to hear the captivating stories behind Jonesboro's historic district. ~The Road to Tara Museum - stroll among Gone With the Wind costume reproductions, original movie props, an international library and unique Hollywood and historic memorabilia ~The Patrick R. Cleburne Memorial Confederate Cemetery - walk among he mass grave containing more than 600 fallen Confederate soldiers ~The Warren House - as the tour passes this historic home, site of some of the heaviest fighting in the Battle of Jonesboro, imagine what it was like when the house served as a hospital for the Confederate and then Union soldiers ~The intersection of Rhett Butler and Scarlett Drives ~Ashley Oaks Mansion - as your narrator points out this 1880 home, marvel at the sheer number of locally-made bricks - over 1 million - that it took to build this home. ~Stately Oaks Plantation - you'll pass the 1839 restored house museum, outbuildings and entire seven-acre Margaret Mitchell Memorial Park.
